If you intend to pay by Octopus, your mobile device must be NFC-enabled; when conducting E-pay, mobile device must have internet connection.

A:「eTaxi」not only automatically pairs passengers up with drivers, allowing for efficient and expeditious travel, it also provides several other services, such as lost-and-found, real-time road traffic news, ETA and trip status sharing, as well as individual taxi driver ratings. Furthermore, passengers calling taxis with「eTaxi」can pay trip fare with Octopus card and O! ePay QR code. Taxi drivers can accept payment through「Octopus App for Business」with the「FPS」function, instantly transferring money received to bank account and avoiding the hassle of exchanging in cash.

A: Wheelchair service is provided. However, supply is scarce, so please book beforehand.

A: Yes, you need to enter all nine digits of your card number, including the number in brackets, e.g., 12345678(9).

A: There is no handling fee in「eTaxi」. In addition, you are awarded with a maximum of $30 coupon, please view details below:

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Although the app provides an estimated fare, it is not always identical to the final trip fare, therefore payment in advance cannot be done as of now. However, you can choose to pay with Octopus when ordering, no handling fees attached.

A: How to do Friend Referrals and claim rewards:
1. “Friend Referral” is in the settings located on the top left corner of the「eTaxi」 UI. You can send your Invite Code to your friends through any means (WhatsApp, WeChat, Message, Facebook etc.) and invite them to install「eTaxi」. Your friends then can input your Invite Code in the “Invite Code” setting.
2. Choose “Payment Method” in settings and input your Octopus Card Number to claim your reward.
3. 30 days after a trip, you can claim the reward using your registered Octopus Card through the Octopus App or the Octopus Service Points. Passengers can reclaim rewards from previous months. Rewards are available for claiming for 3 months, and can be stacked.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, payment made through the eTaxi App is not considered in the Subsidy Scheme yet. Negotiations with related institutions are ongoing, should any news become available, we will announce it on our Facebook page.

Follow-up with driver: Hello, I am Sue from eTaxi customer service. We have received an inquiry from a passenger who indicated that an error regarding the trip fare might have occurred during a trip last Friday from Tsuen Wan to Kwun Tong, causing him/her to pay 5 dollars extra. We have already issued a refund to the passenger and explained to him/her that eTaxi does not require any handling fees. Thank you for your attention and continued support of eTaxi.
